This Privacy Policy does not apply to PII collected and used for our employment processes, including any information provided as part of the recruitment process.
NEABPD may use separate privacy notices or terms that are tailored to a specific use case. If you receive a privacy notice for a specific purpose, the terms of such notice will control to the extent that it differs from or conflicts with this Privacy Policy.

DATA COLLECTION
We may collect, use, store, share, and transfer different categories of PII and non-PII, which may include:
- Identity: first name, last name, username or similar identifier, marital status, title, date of birth, and gender identifier;
- Contact: physical address, email address, and telephone number;
- Financial: bank and payment details;
- Employment: employer and employment history;
- Transaction: records of transactions in connection with services you have received from us;
- Usage: information about how you use our Website and other services
- Communications: your preferences in receiving materials regarding our services and your communication preferences; and
- Sensitive: details about your race or ethnicity, health data, and other PII that may also be considered sensitive PII pursuant to applicable law.
- Technical: data such as internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access our Website.
We collect PII primarily using the following methods and technologies:
Direct Interactions. You may provide PII when you, for example:
- Contact us by email, phone, or mail, either using addresses or numbers posted on our Websites or when you contact our employees directly;
- Donate to us;
- Register for and participate in our services or events;
- Sign up to receive information from us;
- Give us feedback;

Automated Interactions. As you interact with our Website, and in some emails communications we may automatically collect Technical Data. NEABPD and/or the service providers, vendors, and other third parties we hire to perform services on our behalf may use your PII to, for example:

CONSUMER CHOICE
We strive to provide you with choices regarding certain PII uses, and have established the following PII control mechanisms for your use:
- Opt into Marketing. You will receive marketing communications from us if you have requested information from us and opted-in to receive that marketing.
- Opt out of Marketing. You can ask us or third parties to stop sending you marketing messages at any time by following the opt-out/unsubscribe links included on any marketing message sent to you. DATA SHARING
We may share your PII with the parties set out below for the purposes set out in Section D above (“How We Use Your PII”).

- Our related organizations, affiliates, and partners (if applicable).
- External Third Parties: third parties who perform services on our behalf, such as for fundraising assistance.
- Parties as part of a business transaction: third parties to whom we may, for example transfer, or otherwise change our organization.
- Professional advisors: advisors (e.g., lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers) who, for example, may provide services.
- Government Authorities: U.S. Internal Revenue Service and other government agencies, regulators and authorities.
We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your PII for their own purposes and only permit them to process your PII for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions. However, we may allow third parties to use information that has been de-identified or aggregated.
NEABPD will not sell your PII to any third parties or share it with third parties for the third party’s direct marketing purposes.
DATA SECURITY
We have put in place security measures to prevent your PII from being accidentally lost or destroyed, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered, or disclosed while it is under our control. In addition, we limit access to your PII to those who have a need to know.
We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach if and when we are legally required to do so.
DATA RETENTION
We only retain your PII for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it. To determine the appropriate retention period for PII, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the PII, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your PII, the purposes for which we process your PII and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and applicable legal requirements.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
We are committed to collecting and processing PII of children in accordance with all applicable law. While in some instances we may collect PII about children with the consent of a parent or guardian, we do not otherwise knowingly solicit data from, or target communications to, children. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with PII, he or she should contact us as described in Section A above (“How to Contact Us”). We will take reasonable steps to delete such data from our database.
We do not knowingly collect PII from children under the age of thirteen on our Website. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of thirteen has provided PII to NEABPD through our Website, please contact us as described in Section A above (“How to Contact Us”) and we will take reasonable steps to delete it as soon as practicable.
EXTERNAL LINKS
As a convenience to visitors and users of our Website, NEABPD may offer links to other sites that we believe may offer useful information. The inclusion of a link on the NEABPD Website does not imply our endorsement of the linked site or service. This Privacy Policy is no longer applicable when you leave our site by way of link. Each of these linked sites maintains its own independent privacy policies and procedures, which you should consult before providing any of your PII.
CALIFORNIA’S SHINE THE LIGHT LAW
NEABPD does not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

NEABPD does not sell covered information within the meaning of applicable Nevada law.
OTHER STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS
NEABPD is committed to compliance with state privacy laws and continues to monitor developments.
LAWFUL BASIS
We will only use your PII when the law allows us to do so. Most commonly, we will use your PII in the following circumstances:
- Where we need to perform the contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you;
- Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests;
- Where we need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation; or
