May Is BPD Awareness Month

BPD Awareness Month replaces stigma with understanding, misinformation with evidence, and isolation with community. Established by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2008, it brings attention to a condition that affects millions of individuals and families.

BPD remains widely misunderstood. BPD Awareness Month is a time to deliberately share accurate information, highlight effective supports, and foster hope grounded in evidence.

BPD Awareness Month Helps:

Reduce stigma through accurate, evidence-based information

Support families seeking skills, connection, and guidance

Highlight that BPD is treatable, and recovery is possible with the right supports

This month strengthens understanding and expands access to resources that reduce suffering.

What's Happening This May

Let’s Inspire Understanding – Together

By sharing truth, compassion, and evidence, we help create a world where individuals and families affected by BPD are met with understanding, dignity, and support.
